We aim to provide a computer for every child from low-income families in San Diego. To achieve this goal, we created a computer donation program that collects used computers from donors and distributes them to low-income families in San Diego for free. By doing that, we’re not only helping thousands of less-fortunate children in San Diego to finally get access to the technology, but we’re also saving the environment by reusing and recycling electronic waste.

The US EPA estimates that approximately: • 65.7 million desktop computers • 42.4 million computer monitors • 2.1 million laptop computers …are in storage and not being used. So if you’re like most individuals in the US, then chances are you have at least one or two used computers you’ll never use again. Rather than keeping it, wouldn’t it be nice to donate it for children in need? Just consider the positive impact you create on someone else’s life by simply giving away electronic waste that’s perhaps useless for you.

When you donate your used computer, our team and volunteers will refurbish it to make it 100% fully functional, and install any necessary software so it’d be ready to use. We’ll also wipe your data from the hard drive, so you don’t need to worry about any security and privacy issues. When we deliver the donated computer, we’ll also provide the recipient with education, training, and technical support to achieve success.
