Our program addresses challenges of all shapes and sizes.
The world of work is changing, and those confronting severe barriers to employment (i.e., former substance abusers, ex-offenders, homeless veterans, at-risk youth, 16-21) are being left behind. We at Education Support Center connects and assists people who need jobs to the services and training they need to find careers and thrive. We offer work readiness training, resume building and others that could help them find a job they find interesting and the one that suits them. In the first half of 2020 over 40 million people in the U.S. filed for unemployment. Now a staggering number of people are looking to workforce development nonprofits for support. These programs use education and training to help people access jobs that pay a living wage and carry benefits. And those jobs can then lift families out of poverty and strengthen communities. This is what ESC does on this program. “ESC’s Career Development Assistance program provides skills trainings, application assistance like preparing resumes and opportunities for job placement within industries that may have vacancies or labor shortages.”
